Shuttles for the wedding will be departing from:
Ocean View Terrace Inn @ 5:45pm
Southampton Inn @ 6:00pm
Shuttles will return to both hotels at 11:00pm, 12:15am and 1:00am.
We also expect Ubers/Lyfts to be readily available, and the venue has ample parking for those who wish to drive.
In all likelihood, you'll probably be flying into JFK or LGA (don't forget to stop and see the fountain show in Terminal B - the weekend will be downhill from there).
MacArthur Airport (ISP) on Long Island is closest (about 45 minute drive), but it's a small airport.
If you fly into JFK, you will have a seamless connection to the Long Island Railroad, which is the quickest way out to Long Island.
You can access the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from Penn Station, Grand Central Station or Atlantic Terminal Brooklyn. In all cases, you will need to transfer trains in Jamaica.
Those coming from JFK can take the AirTrain to Jamaica and then transfer to the LIRR. It's an easy connection that is clearly marked with plenty of signage.
The LIRR train ride is ~2.5 hours, but there's no traffic. The train stops in each town out east, so make sure to look up the closest stop to your hotel. You can view LIRR schedules here and download the MTA TrainTime App here to buy tickets on your phone.
For those who plan to rent a car, it's a ~3 hour drive from NYC. It can take a lot longer than that if you're driving out mid-day on Friday or during rush hour.
The Jitney provides bus service from upper Manhattan to each town on the East End. You can also take a taxi to the Jitney airport transfer stop from LGA, JFK and Islip airports for easy transfer from the airport to the bus.
We don't want anyone to feel stuck if they don't have a car. In fact, we got around for a long time without one!
In addition to Ubers and Lyfts, the local taxi drivers include:
